He obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Public Administration from the University of Jordan in 1970, a Master’s in International Law from the University of Oxford, UK in 1982, and a PhD in Economics from the University of Ovidius, Romania in 1999.
He began his career as an employee at the Royal Hashemite Court and was later appointed as the Head of Royal Protocol. He was also a member of the Royal Committee for the National Charter and served as an Ambassador at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He was appointed as a member of the 20th, 21st, and 22nd Jordanian Senates.
