Former Member of the Jordanian Senate, she is considered one of the first Jordanian women to enter the political field in Jordan. She served as a member of the Second Consultative National Council. She worked as an English language teacher at Zain Al-Sharaf Secondary School, as an educational supervisor at the Directorate of Education for the Capital Governorate, and as Head of the English Language Curriculum and Textbooks Department at the Curriculum Directorate. She was also a lecturer in the English Language Department at the University of Jordan. She holds a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Jordan, 1990.
