Professor Dr. Salam Mahadin


​Dr. Al-Muhadhdin earned her Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Jordan in 1991. She obtained her Master's and Ph.D. degrees in Translation Studies from Heriot-Watt University in the United Kingdom in 1992 and 1995 respectively.

She began her professional career during her undergraduate studies, working as an editor and translator at the English News Bulletin of Jordan Television from 1990 to 1991. Upon her return, she established the Translation Program at Al-Ahliyya Amman University in the late 1990s.

Furthermore, Dr. Al-Muhadhdin continued her career at the Diplomatic Institute in 1996, where she served as the Head of the Communications Department. She also held the position of Academic Director for the Education Abroad program at AMIDEAST from 2011 to 2014.

Dr. Al-Muhadhdin also served as an Associate Professor at Petra University. She held various administrative positions including Head of the English Language and Translation Department, Dean of Graduate Studies and Research, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Acting President of Middle East University.
