Dr. Abu Arabi received his Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the University of Jordan in 1973. He then obtained his Master's degree in Organic Chemistry from Western Michigan University in 1977, and continued his studies to earn a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor in the United States in 1982.
His notable professional experiences include serving as the President of Al-Balqa Applied University, President of Yarmouk University, and President of Irbid National University.
Dr. Abu Arabi has been honored with the Excellence Award from the American Conference for Advanced Studies, and received the Scientific Progress Medal from the International Scientific Partnership Foundation (Russia) for his contributions to the advancement of science in Jordan and the Arab world.
