Dr. Fawzi Al-Hamouri has over 25 years of leadership experience in healthcare. He is well-known in Jordan, the region, and globally; he has played a key role in improving the quality of healthcare services in Jordan and promoting Jordan as a medical tourism destination.
Dr. Al-Hamouri chaired the Private Hospitals Association for over 18 years, successfully enhancing the performance of private hospitals. He emphasizes the importance of fostering a culture of quality in hospitals in the Kingdom.
He has played a prominent role in coordinating between the government healthcare sector and the private healthcare sector in responding to the COVID-19 pandemic and activating the role of the private sector in supporting the government's efforts to provide healthcare to COVID-19 patients during his membership in the National Committee for Epidemics and as a member of the National Crisis Committees.
He is a co-founder of the Healthcare Accreditation Council (HCAC) and served as Vice Chairman for over six years and is now an honorary member of the Board of Directors.
Dr. Al-Hamouri was awarded the Arab Health Personality of the Year 2020 by the Arab Hospitals Federation.
He has contributed to the development of the Jordanian healthcare sector through his participation and membership in various councils including:
