Former Minister of Justice. He was appointed to the Jordanian Ministry of Justice in 1985.
Education and Qualifications
He holds a PhD in Criminal Law from the Lebanese University in 2001. Additionally, he obtained a Master's degree in the Principles of Criminal Trial Law from the same university in 1996. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Law from the University of Jordan. Furthermore, Dr. Awad holds postgraduate diplomas in law from the University of Jordan in 1990 and from the Jordanian Judicial Institute in 1991.
Positions and Work
He served as the President of the Grand Criminal Court and the head of the Electronic Monitoring Committee on Situations. Dr. Awad participated in committees related to amending penal laws, the principles of criminal trials, the Temporary Events Law for the year 2011, the Grand Criminal Court Law, and criminal legislation.
