His Excellency Professor Dr. Mohieddin Touq


Earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Jordan, and his master's and doctoral degrees from unive​rsities in the United States of America.

Dr. Tawq worked as a professor between 1972 and 1991 at universities including the University of Jordan, the United Arab Emirates University, and the University of Wisconsin in the United States. From 1992 to 2000, he served as the Director of Education Program at the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) on secondment from UNESCO. Additionally, he served as the General Manager of the Arab Cadre Company specializing in professional development for educational personnel from 2011 to 2019. From 2008 to 2011, Dr. Tawq served as the Commissioner-General for Human Rights at the National Center for Human Rights.

He held ministerial positions in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan's government three times, serving as Minister of Administrative Development, Minister of State for Prime Ministry Affairs, and Minister of Higher Education. He also served as Jordan's Ambassador to several European countries.

Dr. Tawq worked tirelessly on an international scale to establish the International Anti-Corruption Academy in Vienna, Austria, and served as a member of the Academy's Board of Commissioners for six years. In recognition of his efforts in this field, the United Nations featured his image on a commemorative stamp, and he was awarded the Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani Award for Excellence in Anti-Corruption in 2017.
